This is a rare 1996 TVR Chimaera 500. Fitted with a 5.0-litre V8 engine, it accelerates to 60mph in just 4.1 seconds before going on to a top speed of 175mph. It is finished in metallic blue paintwork with a cream and blue leather interior.

The low-mileage  TVR has had just three owners from new, the last one owning it since 2001. This gentleman has lavished money on ensuring that the car has been in good mechanical fettle, with a folder of invoices to document work done. Much of the work has been done at TVR specialist, Fernhurst Motor Company. The last bill was for over £1340, this was for a major service and various other jobs. Other recent work includes a rear suspension overhaul.

On the downside, the paintwork has more than its fair share of stonechips and the dark blue carpet has faded to cream (which, ironically, blends in well with the seats!).

This is a well-sorted example of a low mileage classic TVR that could be used and enjoyed as it is, or it could be improved cosmetically to take it to the next level. It shall be sold with 12 months’ MoT.
