This 2009 Porsche 997 Carrera 4S PDK is a second-generation 997, which means it has the all-new direct fuel injection (DFI) engine, which is super-efficient and reliable. The updated car also boasts restyled LED front and rear lights, and revised PCM sat-nav and heating controls.

The Porsche is finished in timeless Arctic Silver Metallic complemented by gorgeous GT Silver 19inch Carrera Sport wheels with coloured centres.

The interior is sumptuous in all-black leather with red stitching. The leatherwork extends to the centre console, which is a rare option, while red seatbelts are a nice touch. The steering wheel has been professionally retrimmed with a chunkier rim and red highlights, and is a joy to handle.

The 911 has a great range of options. Top of the list is Sport Chrono Pack Plus, which includes a chronograph atop the dash and, more importantly, Sport and Sport Plus buttons. Sport gives a sharper throttle response and holds low gears longer for a more exhilarating drive. Sport Plus does the same but even more so. Both settings also firm up the PASM suspension (which can be overridden). A DesignTek crossover pipe creates a great sound.

Other options include Bose sound pack, PSM3 with voice control, Bluetooth connectivity and satnav, heated seats, rear Park Assist, Alcantara headlining and a 12volt socket in the passenger footwell.

The 3.8-litre flat-six engine is teamed with the fantastic seven-speed PDK transmission, which gives lightning fast automatic changes or manual shifts when you want to take control.

The Porsche has a well documented service history. The last service was in January 2023 so won’t another until 2025.
