This 2005 Porsche 997 Carrera S Tiptronic benefits from having had a full engine rebuild by renowned Porsche specialist Hartech, in 2017. It’s covered just 12,000 miles since then.

The Porsche is finished in rare GT Silver Metallic, which is a deeper, greyer shade than the rather more usual Arctic Silver and, it has to be said, looks stunning.

The interior is full black leather with a very high specification. This includes 12-way fully electric seats with driver’s memory, heated seats, Porsche crest embossed on the headrests, cruise control, PCM (Porsche Communication Management) with sat-nav and phone handset (which still works – it has a PAYG SIM with a cool ‘911997’ number!), Bose Surround Sound System and a six-CD changer. A really useful option is Sport Chrono Package Plus. As well as giving you a chronograph on top of the dash and some sophisticated tracking timing, this also gives a Sport button. Press this and the transmission system holds lower gears for longer and the throttle response is sharpened, to give an even sportier ride. There is also the PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) which firms up the suspension at the touch of a button.

The 911 comes with a well-documented service history. The last service was a major in March 2019 at 62,432 miles, so it’s good for almost two years. The Hartech rebuild is fully documented, and included new Nikosil cylinder liners, new timing set, new exhaust valves, later-type intermediate shaft and much more, at a cost of £11,100. This gives full peace of mind for the new owner. There rear dampers and springs have been replaced and, in addition, four new Pirelli PZero tyres were fitted in June 2019 and the alignment set.
