This 1956 Mercedes Benz 190SL is a beautiful and desirable automobile in fantastic condition. It was first registered in the USA on New Year’s Day 1956 and received a full restoration in 1990 before going to a private collector in Pennsylvania. He kept it in climate controlled storage and properly maintained. Additional work done in that time included reconditioning the cylinder head, rebuilding the brakes and suspension, and more; all this work is documented.

The car came to the UK in 2016, after which it was thoroughly checked and serviced by a classic Mercedes specialist who deemed it an excellent example. The same company fitted new and correct Mikuni carburettors.

Being an early 190SL, the Mercedes has the classic simplified dashboard with no clock. The upholstery has been retrimmed in sumptuous red leather and is in excellent condition. A rare option is the transverse rear seat to accommodate a third passenger. The hood is in as-new condition and the bodywork is rust-free with beautifully finished paintwork.
