This 1994 Porsche 968 Club Sport is a superb example of this driver-focused and limited-edition model, with a low mileage of just 50,600. It is stunningly finished in black with contrasting red side stripes, and is in superb condition, inside and out.

First registered in New Zealand, the car’s specification is the same as a UK-market car, apart from a kilometre speedometer. It came to these shores in 2016.

The factory Club Sport specification includes the Lux package, which add rear seats and an electric boot release (which is far more convenient than the standard pull cord). Air-conditioning and a Blaupunkt stereo were also specified. This makes the car more useable and comfortable than most Club Sports but it is a genuine Club Sport with a Certificate of Authentification.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in a combination of black vinyl with cloth facings. The steering wheel has been replaced with a new genuine Porsche Club Sport item in leather with red stitching to reflect the exterior accents. In September 2020, both front door speakers were replaced with genuine Porsche items.

The car has a superb service history, with the original books and a folder of invoices. The last service was carried out at 49,596 miles by Porsche Centre Portsmouth in July 2020. In July 2018, it was given a major service by RUF Automobiles UK at 44,444 miles, which included new spark plugs, air filter, transmission oil, and brake fluid. All of the drive belts were also replaced, along with the rollers and tensioners.

During the last year, the car was treated to a thorough steam clean to the underside, with the wheelarch liners and undertrays removed, and and anti-corrosion wax applied to all of the vulnerable areas. The clutch master cylinder pipe and clutch feed hose were renewed, and the rocker cover gasket replaced. The car was also fitted with new engine mounts, new caster bushes, and given a full geometry check. The air-conditioning was serviced, a new DME relay installed, and the drivebelts were checked and retensioned. The gearbox was treated to a new lever mechanism and associated bushes, and a new intermediate shift lever. New Michelin Pilot Sport tyres were fitted in July 2018.
