2007-2010

The Cayenne Turbo was facelifted in 2007, with a new front end and more shapely wheelarches.

Under the bonnet, the V8 engine was enlarged in capacity from 4.5 to 4.8-litres and power rose 50bhp to 500bhp, while maximum torque was now a hefty 700Nm.

Much of the rest of the specification was carried over from the previous Turbo, which meant that the car was very well equipped, indeed.

New to the second-generation Turbo were Dynamic headlights. These are bi-xenon headlights incorporated both static and dynamic beam control. The static beam illuminated the area immediately in front of the vehicle when taking a bend, while the dynamic headlight function directed the beam into the bend in response to the position of the front wheels.

A new option was Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) that almost eliminated body roll during cornering, using two hydraulically adjustable antiroll bars.
