Porsche 911 Speedster (997 gen2)

2010-2011

The 997 Speedster revived a classic Porsche name, first seen on the 356, which is why Porsche sold just 356 examples of this limited edition 911.

Like the Sport Classic before it, the 997 Speedster had Fuch-style wheels and the wider Carrera 4 rear bodywork, although it was rear-wheel drive.

The windscreen was 60mm and more steeply raked than normal, and met a manually operated hood. When the hood was lowered, it sat under a distinctive ‘double bubble’ tonneau.

The 3.8-litre engine produced 408bhp, thanks to a PowerKit, while the power went through a PDK transmission. PCCB brakes were standard.

The 997 Speedster was offered in a choice of two colours; Pure Blue or Carrara White. The interior leather was black with inserts to match the paintwork.
