Here is a stunningly well-looked after 993. Being a late 1995 car it has the later, and sought after, Varioram engine and is finished in the classic combination of Midnight Blue Metallic with full grey leather interior.
It has had just three owners and the present owner, a doctor, has rarely driven it but has spent over £8000 over the last year on bringing the car up to the standard it is today.
The front end has been resprayed to a high standard to eliminate the stonechips which inevitably appear on these Porsches; new spot lights and ‘Porsche’ badge were also added. At the same time the driver’s door check strap was properly repaired (a common 993 fault but rarely fixed correctly).
The air-conditioning (rare on UK 993s) was fully overhauled with new parts and now works correctly.
The suspension has been comprehensively overhauled by Parr Motorsport with new springs and dampers, plus new arms and joints as required. The geometry was then set-up properly.
In addition to this recent work, the Porsche has a full service history with paperwork to show that it has been well looked after. It has covered 98,000 miles.
The car also benefits from factory-supplied 18-inch Technology Design wheels, Porsche’s Sound Package (uprated speakers) and a modern Sony head unit and CD changer.
There may be cheaper 993s out there but few will be as well sorted as this one, which could prove to be a better buy in the long term.
