3.2 Targa – G50 SOLD

This is a car I sourced for a client five years ago. At the time, I was impressed by the owner’s documentation and lavish care.

At 94,292 miles, the car had a full engine rebuilt – right down to the crankshaft – and this was fully documented with photographs. The clutch was replaced at the same time. There is also a file of other paperwork relating to the car up to 2005, including all old MoT certificates and various invoices for work done.

With the rebuilt engine, the car drives beautifully and the later-type G50 transmission is a joy to use.

Since buying the Porsche, the present owners have had two young children so the car has seen little use and has been in storage. The mileage is now 103,816, so the engine has done less than 10,000 miles since being rebuilt. It has just been serviced (25/06/10).

The car is finished in Marine Blue Metallic with a Linen leather interior. There is no evidence of corrosion or accident damage and it’s all in good original condition.

However, there is some corrosion to the aluminium front bumper, with the paint bubbling in places and some flaking off (see photo). There are also two shallow dents in the bonnet. All superficial compared to the car’s plus points. It wouldn’t take much to make this a wonderful example of this sought-after 911.

The owners have asked me to sell the car on their behalf, as they are not using it and would like to see it go to a good home.

The asking price is £12,995.
