I’ve just had an email from someone looking for a Turbo-style rear spoiler for a 2005 Porsche 997 Carrera. Well, one option would be source a genuine Turbo engine lid and spoiler, new or used, but what won’t be cheap and I’m not sure how easy it would be to get the electrics working (the Turbo spoiler has a raising section which may or may not hook up to the Carrera’s rear spoiler wiring).
Also, he didn’t want anything too expensive so I pointed him towards Porscheshop, which does a wide range of factory and aftermarket body parts for various Porsches, and Ian Heward there is always helpful.
His Eurocup rear wing (pictured) gives the Turbo look but is fixed. It comes in at under £600 (plus painting and fitting).
