Any Porsche 968 Club Sport is rare but this 1994 example is particularly so as it’s a non-sunroof car. Only a handful of these came to the UK.

This example is finished in classic Guards Red with silver Cup wheels and black ‘Club Sport’ side stripes. The interior is pure Club Sport, with red-backed Recaro bucket seats, manual window winders and no radio or rear seats, plus the correct Club Sport steering wheel, which is a joy to handle. There’s a full Safety Devices rollcage, four-point TRS harnesses and a battery cutout switch. The door panels are stripped back to basics.

Although the standard Club Sport is very much a track-focussed Porsche, this one has been further enhanced with Gaz Gold fully adjustable dampers and Powerflex bushes, to ensure firm and positive handling, on road or track.

With 108,000 miles on the clock, the Porsche has a very well documented service history. The service book has been regularly stamped and there’s a folder of invoices to document work done. The last owner of eight years, always insisted that Millers oil was used at each annual service. The cambelt and balance belt were changed in 2015. New front brake discs and pads were fitted in 2018. The car shall be fully serviced before sale, plus we shall fit four new tyres, to ensure it’s all ready for the new owner.

If you’re looking for a trackday toy, this is an ideal candidate. The lack of a sunroof not only saves weight, it also gives more headroom, which is an important consideration when wearing a helmet. It’s also a fun fast road car, and very affordable and easy to live with.
