This 2010 Porsche 997 Carrera Cabriolet PDK is a second-generation 997, which means it has the all-new direct fuel injection (DFI) engine, which is super-efficient and reliable. The updated car also boasts restyled LED front and rear lights, and revised PCM sat-nav and heating controls.

This example has covered just 42,800 miles and is finished in classy Dark Blue Metallic (which is similar to the old Midnight Blue) paired with black 19-inch SportDesign Wheels.

The interior is sumptuously finished in two-tone Black and Sand Beige Leather and the car boasts an enviable specification. Options include PDK seven-speed automatic transmission, PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management, which gives a choice of ride settings), Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bose Surround Sound, extended navigation module, Bluetooth phone connectivity, Universal Audio Interface (to connect your music), three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, 12-way power seats with driver’s memory, heated seats, rear Park Assist, wind deflector and switchable Sports exhaust. This Porsche really wants for nothing in terms of specification!

Sport Chrono Package Plus is particularly interesting. As well as the timer atop the dash, there are advanced timing options via the PCM screen but more useful in daily use are the Sport and Sport Plus buttons. Press Sport and the throttle response is sharpened and the PDK transmission holds lower gears for longer, to give a sportier drive. Sport Plus does the same but even more so. The suspension is also firmed up (although this can be overridden). It’s a desirable and worthwhile option.

The car has a well documented service history, with a stamped book and invoices. It was serviced in March 2024, plus a brake fluid and drive belt change, so it won’t require another service until 2026. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity is also present.

The 3.6-litre DFI engine is responsive yet economical, and the PDK transmission is works astonishingly well, although it is nice to have the option of manual changes via the steering wheel controls.
