At its launch in 2006, the Turbo S was the ultimate Cayenne, and remains an astonishing machine today. Its 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 engine produces 514bhp – that’s a full 70bhp more than the already potent Turbo – and propelled the Turbo S from 0-62mph in just 5.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 167mph. Uprated suspension ensures that the S handles like a sports car, while revised brakes cope with the astonishing power. It’s a remarkable and fun car to drive, yet eminently practical. It’s rare, too, as the S was only made for a short time and, when new, was incredibly expensive.

This example is finished in Basalt Black Metallic with 20-inch SportTechno alloy wheels, sunroof, roof rails and rear privacy glass.

The interior is full black leather with aluminium trim and an Alcantara roof lining, and boasts a very high specification. Options include PCM (Porsche Communication Management) with sat-nav and Bose sound package. The front and rear seats are heated, while the fronts are fully electric with memory control; the steering column is also electrically adjustable. There’s a heated multifunction steering wheel, front and rear climate control, cruise control, auto dipping rear-view mirror, automatic headlamps, automatic wipers. There’s also heated door mirrors, keyless entry and locking, 12-volt sockets in the boot, and tyre pressure monitoring.

The Cayenne features air suspension with a choice of Comfort, Normal and Sports settings, to suit your driving style, and a six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with manual shifters on the steering wheel.

The Porsche comes with a well-documented service history and has clearly been properly maintained. It’s in very good condition, inside and out, with just a few signs of use, as one would expect of a car of its age.
