We are excited to have this rare and very collectable modern classic Porsche 911 in stock. The 996 40th Anniversary, as the name suggests, celebrated 40 years of the Porsche 911, and was sold in 2003 and 2004. A total of 1963 were built, in a nod to the year that the 911 was introduced, and we believe only around 200 came to the UK. This is car number 1189.

It is finished in gleaming GT Silver Metallic (a shade that was previously only used on the Carrera GT supercar). At the front it features the large intakes from the 996 Turbo with unique body-coloured slats. Down the side are Aerokit-style sill extensions, while the rear end boasts a “911 40 Jahre” badge.

Inside, is a pair of Dark Grey Natural Leather, heated hard-backed Sports seats, a numbered “911 40 Jahre” badge, a GT Silver centre console, Bose sound pack, silver bezel surrounds and unique ‘911’ sill plates.

The icing on the cake is the X51 Power Pack which takes the engine output to 345bhp, 25bhp more than standard – that’s second only to the GT3 in terms of naturally aspirated 996 power. The Sports suspension is lowered by 10mm and firmed up to improve the handling, aided by PSM (Porsche Stability Management). All of which makes the 40th Anniversary a fantastic car to drive.

This superb example also features PCM2 (Porsche Communication Management) with sat-nav, Litronic headlamps and a rear wiper, plus a Tracker.

With just 65,000 miles on the clock, the Porsche benefits from a well-documented service history. Just last year, it was fitted with an uprated oil-fed IMS bearing, four new brake calipers and various brake hoses, plus a major service, all by well-known Porsche specialists JZ MacTech, at a price of over £6500. We shall service the car again before sale, while the IMS upgrade gives the new owner additional peace of mind.
