Porsche has just announced its Martini Racing Edition, a 991 Carrera S finished in the Martini livery made famous in the 1970s. Back then, you could order a 911SC or 911 Turbo with Martini livery so this is a welcome return to those days.
As well as the distinctive livery, offered on black or white bodywork, the Martini Racing Edition also boasts an Aerokit with a fixed rear spoiler, stainless steel sill covers with the words “911 Carrera S – Martini Racing Edition” illuminated in red. The latter isn’t particularly racecarish, but then neither is Bose and full leather seats.
The 911 S Martini Racing Edition launches in June in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Poland, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Finland and Great Britain. In August 2014, the special edition will also be available in China, and from October 2014 in Japan and in Latin America. Just 80 examples will be offered.
