The name behind the brand, Phil was a motoring journalist who founded Total 911 magazine and has written about cars, especially Porsches, for many publications. Philip Raby Specialist Cars is a continuation of his passion for Porsches and that enthusiasm is apparent when he chats about cars with customers and colleagues.
Philip began his Porsche journey in magazine publishing. He was involved with the early days of 911 & Porsche World, before going on to launch and edit Total 911, the World’s only magazine dedicated solely to the iconic Porsche 911. He has written several books on Porsche and has been a contributor to various motoring magazines. Philip Raby Specialist Cars was a natural progression of his passion. Philip heads up our vibrant sales department and, having driven nearly every production model Porsche has produced, Philip is always happy to share his knowledge with others.
Phil’s other interests include sailing and cycling, and living between the sea and the South Downs, he’s perfectly placed.
Favourite Porsche: 997 Sport Classic. “I love its retro looks and the fact Porsche went to the trouble of creating that double-bubble roof that most people will never notice.”
Guilty pleasures: Butterscotch Angel Delight and Wham!
Ollie has been a Porsche specialist technician throughout his working life and has worked on a vast array of Porsches, from the earliest air-cooled 911s to the latest Macans, and everything in-between. Ollie keeps things moving in our service centre and looks after the team, ensuring a cheerful and efficient workplace, and is dedicated to providing excellent and honest customer service.
When he’s not working, Ollie loves riding his motorcycle and playing golf (although perhaps not at the same time).
Favourite Porsche: 930 Turbo. “The big single turbocharger really packs a punch but remains small, light and totally analogue.”
Guilty pleasures: Taylor Swift and falling asleep in front of the TV.
Jason is a key part of our service team, bringing a wealth of experience from working all types of cars. He’s an excellent problem solver and never stops until he has found a solution.
Jason lives by the sea and, in his spare time, he enjoys fishing and kayaking
Favourite Porsche: 991 GT3 Touring. “We look after one for a customer and it’s a lovely looking car, very understated.
Guilty pleasures: Cream cakes and doing DIY.
The youngest member of our team, Harlan is enthusiastic about Porsches and has already developed a depth of knowledge, with a particular interest in car electronics.
Favourite Porsche: 962 race car. “It’s so bad-ass and is like a spaceship with a flat six!”
Living on the flatlands of Bosham, Harlan’s a keen rock climber and collects vinyl music from the sixties to tech house.
Guilty pleasures: Herbal tea and going to garden centres in the rain.
Max is here to make our cars and our customers’ cars immaculate, inside and out. He has incredible attention to detail and is at his happiest when he’s just finished detailing a gleaming Porsche.
In his spare time, Max enjoys playing golf and making videos.
Favourite Porsche: 992 Turbo. “I love the look of this, especially with a TechArt bodykit. I’ll own one someday!
Guilty pleasures: Playing Call of Duty and eating chocolate buttons.
We always try to answer the phones ourselves but when we can’t, our AI assistant, Charlotte steps in. She’s not real but she does an incredible job of speaking with customers and taking messages, so we can get back to people.
