Porsche 356 Speedster sells for a record $605,000

A Porsche 356 Speedster has sold for auction in the USA for a record $605,000 – that’s around £480,000 and about three times the predicted sale price. The rare 1957 Porsche is claimed to be in very original condition, after being carefully stored since 1975.It’s a bit strange that it wasn’t cleaned before sale, as I am sure the metallic blue paintwork could be made to gleam with a bit of effort. Since the advent of the Porsche 996 in the late 1990s, modern Porsches have had climate control. However, even today, many people don’t understand how to use it properly. There’s a clue in the name – climate control. The system controls the temperature in the car for you.
