Porsche Boxster 2.7 vs 3.2

Porsche Boxster 2.7 vs 3.2

With the lovely summer weather we’ve been having in England, it’s nice to have a brace of 987  Boxsters in stock.

One is a 3.2-litre Boxster S, which we sold before it hit the website, the other this very smart 2.7 Boxster.

I was a bit apprehensive getting into the smaller-engined Boxster after driving the more powerful S. However, I needn’t have worried. Sure, the 2.7 does not have as much power but it certainly doesn’t feel underpowered (it produces 240bhp, after all) and remains a joy to drive.

Of course, open-top sports cars are about more than outright performance – driving with the roof down is fun even at low speeds. That said, the 2.7 Boxster will out-perform many convertibles and still deliver 30mpg.

Even better news is that this one-owner example is priced at just £10,995. Why buy an MX5 when you can have a Porsche?
